Énonciateur/Énonciataire

Emile Benveniste DE

The distinction between the subject positioned as speaker within enunciation and the other subject to whom the enunciation is addressed.

Açıklama

The distinction between the subject positioned as speaker within enunciation and the other subject to whom the enunciation is addressed. Later theories of enunciation clarified this distinction, implicit in Benveniste, in order to analyze how perspective, modality, and communicative intention are distributed. Enunciation is thus analyzed not only through the speaker but also through the presumed addressee and the form of the relationship.
