Açıklama

The three fundamental registers of subjectivity: the Imaginary (ego-image and identification), the Symbolic (language, law, the Other), and the Real (the unrepresentable excess, trauma). The Imaginary contains the ego’s illusion of wholeness and the image of the complete body in the mirror. The Symbolic is the domain in which 'the unconscious is structured like a language'; it is the order of signifiers that constitutes the subject and desire. The Real is the register that resists symbolization and returns in the form of jouissance and traumatic excess.
