Açıklama

A mode of subject formation characteristic of neoliberal governmentality, in which individuals are encouraged to govern themselves as forms of human capital and to extend market rationality across all domains of life. This form of subjectivation reduces freedom to a logic of investment, performance, and self-management, often transforming practices of self-care into strategies of competitive self-optimization. Foucault’s later work critically contrasts this model with ethical practices of care of the self and parrhesia, which offer alternative ways of relating to oneself, others, and truth.
